My why

Being on the medicine wheel, I feel called to share fire ceremonies with my community. I believe that connecting with our intentions through a fire ceremony is a really powerful way to cut through the noise, reconnect with yourself and build community through shared experience.

The space works for 12 (ish) people. If you would like to join us, please book your place. Should it rain I have a space we can use inside, replacing the fire with candles and the sticks with matches - the essence is the same.

The Shamanic Fire Ceremony

We will enter the space and have an opportunity to come into quiet, to think about our intentions for the ceremony—what do you want to let go of and what do you want to call in?

We will open space by calling on the directions and great spirit to work with and through us.

We will decorate the fire with offerings - flowers and herbs (feel free to bring).

We will choose two sticks each (or bring your own), one for letting go and one for calling in.

Light the fire, and as it catches, we drum and chant, watching him grow and become friendly; this is when we know our prayers will be heard.

You will be instructed to work with your first stick, the shedding stick.

By blowing into this stick, we shed our personal stories, beliefs, the past that we inherited, the past of humanity, the violence, the greed, and anything else that comes up for us that we want to let go of and be free from.

We release it to the fire.

Let it go. Let the fire burn it away.

Once everyone has let go, we will work with the calling-in stick.

We set intentions about what we want for ourselves, calling in positive experiences and self-development to fill the emptiness of what we just released.

We blow into the stick in truth, fearlessness and with integrity.

We call in more magic, trust, peace, love, growth,, and ask to be supported in becoming more of who we truly are.

In vulnerability, we open our hearts to receive and to become more.

Finally, the Pacha Mama stick is passed around the circle, and we blow all our wishes and prayers for the earth into it; culminating in a collective offering.

Dreaming a new dream together. We will watch our prayer transform.

The oldest and youngest person in the circle pay homage to the generations, placing the Pacha Mama stick on the fire.

Lastly, we pass our hands through or close to the flames, bringing the new energy into our forehead, heart, and belly.

We will then share a moment in silence, followed by an opportunity for other offerings, a sharing circle and closing the space.
